We are very proud to announce that Stemin spa has obtained Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) V3 certification, which marks Stemin’s long-standing commitment to the recovery and treatment of aluminium metal.
The Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) is a global organisation that establishes standards and certification to promote responsible production, sourcing and management in the global aluminium value chain. It brings together producers, users and stakeholders in the value chain of this metal with a commitment to maximise the contribution of its use in an increasingly sustainable society.
“The achievement of the ASI Performance Standard V3 is an important milestone that confirms Stemin spa as one of the best in Europe and worldwide in this sector and a benchmark for its customers and partners. It is tangible proof of our commitment, our reliability and the quality of our processes and products. – commented the President, Olivo Foglieni – My thanks go to the entire team that has taken part in the achievement of this milestone for the work they carry out every day in the control of issues that are now indispensable”.
Since its inception in 1999, the mission carried out by Stemin and the entire industrial Group to which it belongs, has been to create a sustainable business model based on a perfect circular economy whereby reprocessed metal scrap takes on a new life in semi-finished secondary aluminium products and finished products for domestic heating with only one common denominator: the use of secondary aluminium as a raw material.
