Our commitment to sustainable development

Stemin aligns its standards and policies with the principles of the United Nations 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which have always — now more than ever — formed the foundation of our strategies and operational decisions.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted in 2015 by UN Member States, is a global action plan in support of people, the planet, and prosperity, structured around 17 strategic goals (SDGs).

These goals provide a shared framework for addressing the world’s most pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges — including those faced by the industrial and business sectors.

Concrete actions for responsible change

In this context, Stemin’s Board of Directors has identified 9 priority SDGs — those on which the company has a direct and significant impact. The criteria used in this selection were shared with key stakeholders to ensure the process was as inclusive, transparent, and consistent as possible. These goals serve as a concrete and objective compass, guiding us and keeping us firmly on the path of sustainable growth we have committed to.

GOOD HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

The health and safety of our employees is a top priority. We have implemented strict safety policies and continuous training programmes. We also promote health and well-being by providing supplementary healthcare services

QUALITY EDUCATION

We believe that continuous learning is essential for both employee growth and sector’s innovation. We offer professional development programmes, technical training courses and we collaborate with educational institutions to promote technical and scientific education.

CLEAN WATER AND SANITATION

We are committed to the responsible management of water resources, reducing water consumption in our production processes through efficient technologies and water recycling.
We continuously monitor the environmental impact of our activities to ensure the protection of local water resources.

AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY

We have invested in a photovoltaic park that covers approximately 60% of our energy needs, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions. Our energy strategy is based on efficiency and innovation, with the goal of increasing the use of clean and sustainable energy. We also promote awareness of the importance of renewable energy and energy conservation.

All of our products are made from recycled materials, helping to reduce environmental impact. We adopt sustainable production practices and encourage our suppliers and partners to do the same, ensuring a shared commitment to a more circular production cycle.

CLIMATE ACTION

We have obtained environmental certifications that allow us to accurately monitor and report our CO₂ emissions, setting clear reduction targets. Through energy efficiency initiatives, we are progressively reducing our environmental impact.
