As part of the Family Business course at the University of Bergamo — which combines expert lectures and company visits to deepen the understanding of transitions in family businesses — we had the pleasure of hosting a class of approximately 50 students at Stemin S.p.A., accompanied by their professors and university tutors.

The morning began with opening remarks from our Chairman, Olivo Foglieni, followed by a company introduction from the CEO, Jordan Foglieni, who shared the history and values of Stemin.
Next, the students, divided into three groups, toured our production facilities, exploring STEMIN67, dedicated to scrap processing, and STEMIN41, where aluminium ingots are produced through the melting process.

After the tour, we held an engaging Q&A session discussing innovation, sustainability, and the challenges of generational transition in family businesses. The students’ questions and active participation made the discussion particularly stimulating.

The morning concluded with a networking moment, a coffee break, and a group photo to celebrate this shared learning experience.
