Rome, 23 July 2025 – On the occasion of the Italy–Algeria Business Forum, Stemin S.p.A. and Condor Electronics signed an agreement to establish an industrial joint venture aimed at developing the first circular aluminium supply chain in Algeria, transforming the country into an industrial hub for circular aluminium in North Africa.

The agreement was formalised in Rome by Olivo Foglieni, Chairman of the FECS Group — of which Stemin S.p.A. is the parent company — and Sami Mohamadi, AC & Heating Business Unit Director of Condor Electronics, in the presence of institutional and business representatives from both countries.

The development plan includes:

  • installation of plants for the selection and melting of aluminium scrap;
  • training of local workforce;
  • obtaining international certifications for export to Europe.

Olivo Foglieni, Chairman of FECS Group and President of Stemin S.p.A., stated: “With this agreement, we aim to bring to Algeria an industrial model already successful in Europe: transforming waste into resources through advanced technologies and a sustainable approach.”

At the conclusion of the Forum, the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic, Giorgia Meloni, and the President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, spoke. Both highlighted the growing strength of the partnership between the two nations, united by the desire to explore new avenues. They noted that during the meeting, 30 agreements were signed, alongside an additional 10 bilateral accords concluded during the intergovernmental summit.
